Q&A with Hannah

What do you do at CAES?

As Administrative Associate II, I serve as the assistant to the Assisant Dean of Academic Affairs and manage the website, oversee our social media platforms, and send out our weekly newsletter. I also assist our office in clerical tasks such as processing reimbursements, travel authorizations, and scheduling meetings. My favorite part of my position is working with our student events such as FABricate and Orientation 2.0. Additionally, I help our office to better our college by addressing student questions, assisting with student visits, and assist in creating a great environment for students to find careers, excel in classes and serve in their communities.

How do you interact with students and improve student life in CAES?

I directly interact with students by addressing questions they may have about advisement, student programs/events we are hosting, academic advising and more! I also interact with our student body virtually by overseeing our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. We love seeing what our students have to say about their experience with our college.

I received my BSA in agribusiness at the University of Georgia and am currently working on my Master's in Agribusiness degree. I grew up in Paulding County, GA where I was heavily involved in both 4-H and Girl Scouts. Both organizations shaped my interest in the agricultural and hospitality industries, which led me to the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. My dream is to own an agritourism marina and CAES has given me real world experiences to prepare me for this career goal.
