Each year the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) awards scholarships to students enrolled in our majors. Apply online to be considered for all of these CAES general scholarships. Note: eligibility and selection criteria vary by scholarship.
Applications are typically accepted online from December 1 to March 1.
Check with your home department for more information on departmental scholarships. Depending on your major, you may be eligible for additional departmental scholarships within this system.
NEW: Ratcliffe Scholars Program
The Ratcliffe Scholars Program rewards forward-thinking CAES undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in immersive, hands-on learning experiences outside the confines of a traditional class setting. Eligible experiences may include internships, study abroad programs, research opportunities and any other experiential learning activities deemed appropriate by the selection committee.
International Travel Scholarships are restricted to students enrolled in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), University of Georgia. Preference is given to undergraduate students. Funds are for travel-related expenses for students enrolled in CAES-endorsed study abroad, student exchange, and international internship programs.
Please pay special attention to application due dates based on your departure date. The application window is open from:
- August 1 - November 1:
For programs that depart during the current fall semester or spring semester of the following year. This includes programs departing during spring break.
- December 1 - March 1:
For programs that depart during Maymester or summer semester.
Please note: Students will receive stipends during the semester in which their program will depart. For instance, a CAES student who will study abroad during spring break must apply by November 1st and will receive their funds in the spring.

CAES Alumni Association scholarships
The CAES Alumni Association annually awards several scholarships to incoming freshman and transfer students. To qualify for these scholarships a student must be a Georgia resident.

In addition to College-wide scholarships, the College has scholarships that are reserved for CAES students enrolled on the Griffin and Tifton Campuses.
Many departments within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences offer scholarships to students seeking a major within their department.
The following departments use the CAES Undergraduate Scholarship Application to award scholarships. If your major is within one of these departments, be sure to apply online by March 1 to be considered.
