The Agribusiness major (Bachelor of Science in Agriculture - BSA) prepares students for professional careers in agribusiness marketing, management and finance through combining in-depth business concepts with real-world application to the food and fiber industry. Agribusinesses process and market food and fiber products, supply inputs to agricultural production and manage agricultural production. Students learn the economic principles and strategies for agribusiness marketing and management and also develop entrepreneurial skills that can be used to manage their own businesses.

To get ready for courses to earn an Agribusiness degree we recommend you:

Take available AP macro and/or microeconomics courses prior to attending UGA
Participate in any school or community business-related clubs or organizations
Engage in business-related student projects
Volunteer and/or work for organizations or companies with opportunities to observe business practices (banks, cooperatives, trade organizations, etc.)

Interested in transferring to the program? Requirements for the main and extended campuses include:

Athens, Griffin, and Tifton: Graduated from high school at least 12 months prior to the term of intended enrollment
Athens: Completed 30-59 credit hours and have a minimum of a 3.3 GPA OR
Athens, Griffin, and Tifton: Completed 60+ credit hours and have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA
