Environmental Resource Science

The Environmental Resource Science major builds a strong foundation in basic and applied sciences. Students learn about the impact of collaboration of sciences on the environment and urban areas. Graduates of this program will obtain problem-solving skills and practical knowledge that prepares them for career opportunities in environmental research laboratories, environmental consulting firms, government, environmental horticulture production and management positions.

Students wishing to attend classes on the Griffin campus need to complete their 1000-2000 level courses prior to transferring to UGA.
Prepare
To prepare for courses to earn an Environmental Resource Science degree we recommend you:
- Participate in traditional agricultural extracurricular activities, such as 4-H and FFA
- Participate in local science fairs
- Participate in school or community science-based clubs
- Take as many available math and science courses prior to attending UGA
