Scholarships
Financial assistance for undergraduates comes from a variety of sources and may be in the form of scholarships, workships or loans. Along with the HOPE scholarship, there are many scholarships available.
CAES Scholarships
College-wide scholarships
Each year the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) awards scholarships to students enrolled in our majors. Apply online to be considered for all of these CAES general scholarships. Note: eligibility and selection criteria vary by scholarship.
Applications are typically accepted online from December 1 to March 1.
Check with your home department for more information on departmental scholarships. Depending on your major, you may be eligible for additional departmental scholarships within this system.
CAES Alumni Association scholarships
The CAES Alumni Association annually awards several scholarships to incoming freshman and transfer students. To qualify for these scholarships a student must be a Georgia resident.
International travel scholarships
International Travel Scholarships are restricted to undergraduates enrolled in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), University of Georgia.
Funds are for travel-related expenses for students enrolled in CAES endorsed study abroad, student exchange and international internship programs.
Applications are considered on a rolling basis from December 15 to February 1 or until funds have been awarded.
Paul Coverdell Agricultural Scholarship
This scholarship provides up to $1,500 for an undergraduate student in CAES to participate in the college’s Undergraduate Research Initiative. The student’s research activity must focus on emerging issues related to agricultural, food or environmental sciences.

Departmental Scholarships
Many academic departments within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences offer scholarships to students seeking a major within their department.
The following departments use the CAES Undergraduate Scholarship Application to award scholarships. If your major is within one of these departments, be sure to apply online by March 1 to be considered.
